As usual comparative figures relate to the 21st. August 2020.
MUNDO - World
Total cases - 83,943,362 - (21,168,111) - up 62,775,251 or 296.6%
Deaths - 1,828,374 - 2.2% - (759,328 - 3.6%) - up 1,069,046 or 140.8%
Recoveries - 59,446,449 - 70.8% - (13,984,843 - 66.1%) - up 45,461,606 or 325.1%
Therefore active cases - 22,668,539 - 27.0% - (6,425,939 - 30.3%) - up 16,242,600 or 252.8%. Of the total population of 7,836,072,759 (7,804,380,455), the percentage of active cases is 0.290 % (0.082%) of the world population.
Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 2,893 - (1,437)
Compared to last week, active cases are up 754,114 or 3.4%
The increase week on week of active cases has reduced from 5.5% to 3.4%, but apart from that the numbers continue to go the wrong way.
ESTADOS UNIDOS - United States
Total cases - 20,448,701 - (5,429,115) - up 15,019,586 or 276.7%
Deaths - 354,233 - 1.7% - (170,781 - 3.2%) - up 183,452 or 107.4%
Recoveries - 12,128,869 - 59.3% - (2,844,535 - 52.4%) - up 9,284,034 or 326.4%
Therefore active cases - 7,965,599 - 39.0 - (2,413,829 - 44.6%) - up 5,551,770 or 230.0%. Of the total population of 331,976,250 (331,236,184), the percentage of active cases is 2.40% (0.729%) of the total population.
Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 23,995 - (9,043).
Compared to last week the comparative figures are:
Total cases up 1,307,345 or 6.8%
Deaths up 16,834 or 5.0%
Recoveries up 909,380 or 8.1%
Active cases up 381,131 or 5.0%
Some figures are starting to look a bit better. Compared to last week, the percentage increases of total cases, deaths, and active cases are all down. But the US is a long way from being out of the woods. The only hope it seems is for the vaccines to work. But to put the whole thing in context, it is necessary to read the next paragraph.
It is now estimated that up to 40% of all "Chinese Virus deaths" were caused by other factors - such as gunshot wounds!! Believe it or not, deaths from gunshot wounds have been classified as the C Virus!!!! The medical establishment receives much higher subsidies for C Virus cases and deaths than any other causes. So, it's very likely that the whole reporting of C Virus active cases and deaths is highly suspect for both political and financial reasons.
It is also noted that C Virus cases are spiking in California - a state that has the most draconian lockdown measures in the country at huge cost to individual liberty and livelihoods - most of which will never return. One cannot escape the supposition that it is all a socialist ploy to destroy private business and wealth. LOCKDOWNS EVIDENTIALLY DO NOT WORK.
With reference to the deliberate lack of history teaching in schools and universities, coupled with socialist indoctrination and the wanton destruction of historical monuments, there was a speech by Tucker Carlson, one of the better Fox News presenters. The theme was - "a society that has no past, has no future". A nation must know its history - good and bad - otherwise it cannot chart a path to the future.
Following on from that, just a brief note about the state of American politics so far. We'll try and keep it brief; there are plenty of news sites that can be referred to. Among them are Newsmax and Epoch Times - also Finance Hub perhaps and Truth and Armstrong Economics. At least these news sites do not peddle "fake news".
Suffice it to say, things are messy to say the least. Finally though there has been a change of tactic re the massive election fraud back in November on the part of the Trump team. They have been presenting evidence of the various types of fraud to swing state legislatures where the fraud was greatest, who have become sympathetic to the arguments. How could they not?
It hasn't been possible for the Trump people to get any hearings from the partisan state courts, and even when the state of Texas and 7 other states tried to get a hearing from the Supreme Court, they were rebuffed. It has become obvious that even the SC is somewhat partisan and there are rumours that the Chief Justice, John Roberts, has turned out to be a Trump hater. Maybe paid off?? Roberts was apparently heard when they were meeting to decide whether to hear the Texas case, screaming at the other 4 conservative judges. So much for the impartiality of the Judicial 3rd branch of the Federal Government!! So, it is a complete lie to claim that Trump campaign lawsuits have been "thrown out" by the courts - they simply have been refused hearings.
Anyway, the electoral frauds that have been extensively presented to the state legislatures include -
* vote counting machines - automatically flipping votes mostly Trump to Biden, recording votes as 0.75 for Trump and 1.25 for Biden, and connection to the internet, enabling interference from China. These have been inspected by IT experts where possible. The number of votes affected by this fraud are in the hundreds of thousands.
* Shredding of counterfeit ballots in mobile shredding vehicles even now - destruction of evidence.
* Obstruction of election observers from checking on counting procedures.
* The production of counterfeit ballots when these observers had been sent home on the promise that work would stop for the night. In fact as soon as the observers left, counterfeit ballots were then produced and processed through the counting machines MULTIPLE TIMES on Nov. 4th.. These criminal acts have been captured on CCTV video and these films presented at the various state legislature hearings.
* In spite of court orders to allow inspection of ballots, some counties are still defying those orders. What are they hiding?
* Wisconsin and Arizona, after Trump campaign hearings before their respective legislatures, have ordered that their original approval of slates of votes in favour of Biden be rescinded and alternative slates for Trump be substituted. Georgia and Pennsylvania are considering identical action now, and if these changed votes are submitted at the Joint Session of both Houses of Congress on Jan. 6th., then Trump would be confirmed as President for a 2nd. term. There seems to be a real chance that this will succeed.
* Apart from the above, there is apparently a slew of further evidence of all this criminal electoral fraud which will be presented on Jan. 6th. when the Joint Session of Congress takes place. McConnell won't know what hit him. It beggars belief that the legislators will be able to brush all that under the carpet, but no doubt they'll try.
* There are at least 100 Congressmen and Women who plan to object to the existing slates of votes for Biden on the basis of massive electoral fraud. In addition there is one Senator who will do the same. It only needs one, but apparently there are others who will join the effort as well. Now Senator Ted Cruz has confirmed that he will lead the effort to decertify the fraudulent votes. Senator Cruz is a lawyer who clerked at the Supreme Court and had volunteered to present the Texas (and others) case to the Supreme Court before that august body corruptly rejected the suit.
* There are two areas of legislation that govern this situation which are the Electoral Count Act 1887 and the 12th. Amendment to the US Constitution, but unfortunately they are to some extent in conflict with each other. This conflict has never been legally addressed because this unprecedented situation has never occurred before.
So, if a conflict involving the voting on Jan. 6th. ensues as seems likely, the Supreme Court will of necessity need to finally get their act together and make a ruling. Traditionally they follow the Constitution and that will favour the Trump legal efforts, and justice generally.
But if none of this is resolved in a fair and just manner, and corruption succeeds again in the House and Senate, then having regard to the well documented and massive electoral fraud that has occurred, our earlier references to martial law could be a real possibility.
There would therefore be no alternative in order to save the 240 year old US Republic and its Constitution, and the Free World - all of which is right now under sustained and determined attack. Make no mistake - WE ARE AT WAR!!! The protagonists are free and democratic societies versus evil and malign MARXISM.
COLOMBIA
Total cases - 1,642,775 - (433,805) - up 1,208,970 or 278.7%
Deaths - 43,213 - 2.6% (14,145 - 3.3%) - up 29,068 or 205.5%
Recoveries - 1,508,419 - 91.8% - (250,494 - 57.7%) - up 1,257,925 or 502.2 %
Therefore active cases - 91,143 - 5.6% - (169,196 - 39.0%) - down 78,053 or 46.1 %. Of the total population of 51,153,961 (50,948,628), the percentage of active cases is 0.178% (0.332%) of the total population.
Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 1,782 - (1,367)
Active cases since last week are down 9,823 or 9.7%
Active cases have reduced since last week which is encouraging. As percentages of total cases, deaths are down, recoveries are up, and active cases are down. Cases have spiked just before Christmas, but it remains to be seen just what the effect of the holidays will have been. Christmas Day was in complete lockdown as has been New Years Day and today - the 2nd. Seems a bit heavy-handed and hysterical to us as usual, but maybe it will be seen to have been worthwhile.

We have been having a social time. Janet, our neighbour was here for Christmas dinner on the 24th. and Andres Calle, who is a university lecturer in Manizales and who we met at the Mercado Campesino a couple of weeks ago, was here for lunch and our friend, Fernando, came for drinks in the middle of the lockdown! He only lives a block away. Lockdown ends tomorrow morning at 6 am and we will be going to the Mercado Campesino which no doubt will be a muted affair until they get going again later in January.
AUSTRALIA
Total cases - 28,427 - (23,035) - up 5,392 or 23.4%
Deaths - 909 - 3.2 % - (370 - 1.7%) - up 539 or 145.7%
Recoveries - 25,762 - 90.6% - (13,634 - 59.2%) - up 12,128 or 89.0%
Therefore active cases - 1,756 - 6.2% - (9,022 - 39.2%) - down 7,266 or 80.5%. Of the total population of 25,647,655 (25,536,804), the total percentage of active cases is 0.007% (0.035%) of the total population.
Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 69 - (56).
Figures all going the wrong way again amid state border closures. The main cause is an outbreak on Sydney's northern beaches which is not being helped by drunken crowds celebrating New Year and whatever else at various venues. Remains to be seen just what effect these drunken yobbos will have had on infection levels in the next 2 weeks.
NUEVA ZELANDA - New Zealand
Total cases - 2,162 - (1,714) - up 448 or 26.1%
Deaths - 25 - 1.2% - (25 - 1.4%) - no change
Recoveries - 2,082 - 96.3% - (1,531 - 95.5%) - up 551 or 36.0%
Therefore active cases - 55 - 2.5% - (49 - 3.0%) - up 6 or 12.2%. Of the total population of 5,002,100 (5,002,100), the percentage of active cases is 0.001% - (0.001%) of the total population.
Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 11 - (14).
Compared to last week active cases are up 6 or 12.2%.
Kiwiland has had an upturn in active cases, but all in managed isolation. But the country still remains locked up tighter than the proverbial and that remains a great economic cost.
Finally, a wonderful quote that we have just heard during a celebratory interview by Mark Levin on Fox News of Dr. Walter Williams who died last year aged 84. He was a Professor of Economics at George Mason University, Fairfax City, Virginia.
He said "those who pursue Equality with little or no attention to Liberty will never have much of either. But those who pursue Liberty with perhaps a little attention to Equality, will receive a great deal of both".
He was of course speaking of personal, but responsible liberty, as opposed to increasing government control of our lives. The deliberate release of the Chinese Virus around the world in late 2019 and early 2020 has resulted in a massive increase of national and local government control, often to a draconian and ridiculous extent. It has been a God sent opportunity for those governments of more of a Socialist persuasion to further tighten their control of their populations and destroy business.
