As usual hope you are all in the pink - but not in the red!! The following are the usual Chinese Virus statistics:- 

MUNDO - World

Total cases - 61,526,030 - (21,168,111) - up 40,357,919 or 190.7%

Deaths - 1,441,419 - 2.3% -  (759,328 - 3.6%) - up 682,091 or 89.8%

Recoveries - 42,556,973 - 69.2% - (13,984,843 - 66.1%) up 28,572,130 or 204.3%

Therefore active cases - 17,527,638 - 28.5% - (6,425,939 - 30.3%) - up 11,101,699 or 172.8%. Of the total population of 7,828,284,299 (7,804,380,455), the percentage of active cases is 0.224% (0.082%) of the total world population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 2,239 - (1,437).

The figures are still going in the wrong direction, which is still a concern for overall recovery in the world.

ESTADOS UNIDOS - United States

Total cases - 13,266,819 - (5,429,,115) - up 7,837,704 or 144.4%

Deaths - 269,692 - 2.0% -  (170,781 - 3.2%) - up 98,911 or 57.9%

Recoveries - 7,852,415 - 59.2% -  (2,844,535 - 52.4%) - up 5,007,880 or 176.1%

Therefore active cases - 5,144,712 - 38.8% -  (2,413,829 - 44.6%) - up 2,730,883 or 113.1%. Of the total population of 331,790,984 (331,236,184), the percentage of active cases is 1.551% (0.729%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 15,506 - (9,043).

The figures are not improving. Maybe the vaccine(s) will help, but we're not holding our breath - mainly because the approval period is far too short and there could well be so far unknown adverse health effects which develop over time - even a relatively short time.. 

Compared to last week the figures are:

Total cases up 1,027,943 or 8.4%

Deaths up 9,746 or 3.8%

Recoveries up 560,698 or 7.7%

Active cases up 457,499 or 9.8%

However, we must also comment on lockdowns and masks. It's now been shown time and again that lockdowns do not stop the C Virus spread, except that places like theatres and anywhere where there is potential for large groups to gather, should maintain effective crowd control and adequate distancing. Then it's a question of whether the various establishments can be financially viable with these restrictions.

As regards masks, we think that there is a case for them indoors wherever larger groups are present, but that any insistence on wearing them outside, or in vehicles, except for public transport, is just nonsense. Here we see people jogging, riding pushbikes or driving their own cars, wearing them and it's ridiculous and prejudicial to good health in the long run.

Then you have various states in the US with their own various rules, which in the case of Democrat controlled states, are usually the most draconian and ludicrous, and we strongly suspect are designed to cow and control an already frightened population. It of course suits the extreme left's plans for further control and can be seen as a "softening-up" process. For example, 25 people at a gathering have to wear masks, but 18 don't!!  To which planet do these people belong? Wherever it is, they should return toute de suite (imediatemente)!!  

Finally some words about the election on which we have already commented in detail in the past. We still do not accept that Trump has lost. With the plethora of lawsuits being raised by the Trump Team lawyers and with credible figures involving many instances of blatant electoral fraud (many of which are headed for the Supreme Court, after being thrown out by lower Democrat controlled and crooked judges), anything could happen. In fact a judge in Pennsylvania who ordered the crooked Secretary of State for Pennsylvania to stop any vote confirmation process, has said that in her opinion Trump will win the state after an initial Biden "majority" of 80,000. When you add in Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada, all with the same issues,Trump looks a certainty. And of course if these fraudulent situations are finally confirmed by the Supreme Court - or even some of them - then for democracy's sake alone, Trump should be confirmed.

The problem though is that the Trump Team is running out of time as the Electoral College sits on Dec. 20th. We don't know, and we suspect no-one knows as this is unprecedented, whether the Supreme Court would have the constitutional ability to order variation to these dates, but such is the blatant and massive scale of fraud that certainly appears to have occurred, the greatest democracy in the world would become at least a very sad laughing stock if they allowed such a situation to be ratified without absolute legal proof one way or the other. Regardless of how much time it takes.

For further reliable details you could check out the Epoch Times and Newsmax websites. Even Fox News is worth a look, but Fox News has disgracefully already declared Biden as the President-elect, which along with CNN et al, they have no legal right to do. In fact the Electoral College is the ONLY body with the legal authority to declare a President-elect, and this has NOT occurred.

There have been increasing naval skirmishes in disputed waters where the latest is that the Royal Malaysian Navy opened fire on a Chinese Coastguard vessel. This is one of many such actions involving Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Brunei in very recent times. In addition there is also extensive naval presence in these waters by the US, Australia and the UK. 

And China is threatening the members of the 5 Eyes Intelligence countries of NZ, Australia, the US, Canada and the UK with "eye gouging" if they continue to criticise the Uighur genocide in Xinjiang and removal of all democratic rights in Hong Kong. In Chinese culture this constitutes a serious threat. We would not like to be NZ nationals in Communist China right now.

On top of that China is in serious financial trouble with several very major companies defaulting on their debt obligations in recent days. And there are again serious floods in the Yangtze Valley with the 3 Gorges Dam again under major threat with the risk of over-topping the dam itself. That means that the water depth on the upside of the dam is at least 175 metres, way above its safe operating limit. Many experts are saying that it is only a matter of time before this dam (2.3 kms across the river) collapses. If a massive failure such as this were to occur, 400 million Chinese living and working downstream would be at serious risk. This also includes the city of Shanghai.

So, God knows what to make of all this. All we can be sure of is that if Biden were to be elected President, the results could be catastrophic for SE Asia, Australia and NZ and for the US itself. IT MUST NOT HAPPEN; TRUMP MUST WIN.

The figures really just indicate that the country is holding its own at the moment. Perhaps that is all that we can expect, given the world figures. And apparently there is a possibility that Colombia could reinstate its insistence on travellers to Colombia needing approved C Virus negative tests before they can board any Colombia bound flights.

This latter headline is mind-blowing. 

We have been aware that we should do something about up-grading our medical insurance. This has been mainly driven by our frustrating experiences with the Sura EPS bureaucracy and huge delays in seeing a doctor or specialist. To be fair though, the C Virus hasn't helped with this. Anyway, we had a marathon 3 hour meeting with an insurance broker who had been recommended to us by our friend, Clara. He is in fact one of Clara's nephews. He spoke excellent English and is an accomplished sailor, so that wasted some time discussing this most important topic!! He wants to do some ocean passages, so we gave him some advice about that. An upgrade to our existing (compulsory) cover would cost us an extra COP 533,709 (approx. NZD 214) per month, so it's certainly doable. And it gives us quick access to many doctors, internalists and specialists. And the option of a private room in the event of hospitalisation. We had tended to devalue the importance of all this, but Clara spoke to us sternly and we now agree!

And reasonably good news about the car. They finally worked out how to remove the starter motor without taking the engine off its mounts - only needing to remove the exhaust manifold. Apparently the internal condition of the starter motor was "very bad" so it needed to be done, but it's unbelievable that Mercedes used such a poor quality item - probably Chinese - and compounded the issue by making it very difficult to remove. They are definitely not like Jim's 1st Mercedes - a 1963 220S bought in 1978 and kept for 10 years. As strong as the proverbial brick outhouse and front seats like armchairs. But like most things, things today are definitely not what they were.

We are soldiering on and going (by taxi!) to the Mercado Campesino Sunday (tomorrow) morning. Always a pleasant experience, especially talking to our friend, Natalia, who makes hand-made Pesto and Tahini. A bit expensive but definitely worth it. And the guy who has gelatina which we take for our knees (rodellas). Getting old is not for the faint-hearted!!.

    

AUSTRALIA

Total cases - 27,873 - (23,035) - up 4,838 or 21.0%

Deaths - 907 - 3.3% (370 - 1.7%) - up 537 or 145.1%

Recoveries - 25,570 - 91.7% - (13,634 - 59.2%) - up 11,936 or 87.6%

Therefore active cases - 1,396 - 5.0% - (9,022 - 39.2%) - down 7,626 or 84.5%. Of the total population of 25,619,372 (25,536,804), the percentage of active cases is 0.0054% (0.04%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 55 (56).

Getting better, but like NZ, Australia at some point has to rejoin this C Virus world. The longer that borders remain locked, the worse the economic situation will become. And we were not very pleased to read that the Qantas CEO has said that there will be no international travel unless passengers can prove C Virus vaccination. This will rule us out, unless and until we can be convinced that these vaccines are safe and do not contain animal DNA and apparently an ingredient that is detected by scanners, such as at airports. Time will tell.

NUEVA ZELANDA - New Zealand

Total cases - 2,047 - (1,714) - up 333 or 19.4%

Deaths - 25 - 1.2% - (22 - 1.4%) - up 3 or 13.6%

Recoveries - 1,956 - 95.6% -  (1,531 - 95.6%) - up 425 or 27.8%

Therefore active cases - 66 - 3.2% - (49 - 3.0%) - up 17 or 34.7%. Of the total population of 5,002,100 (5,002,100), the percentage of active cases is 0.0013% - (0.001%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of population 13 - (14). 

Some increase in cases, but they appear to be all related to the Pakistani Cricket Team, who have been behaving badly in quarantine and openly defying and criticising NZ in the most arrogant terms. Although we are in favour of relaxing border restrictions, such as for law-abiding cruising yachts looking for a cyclone haven, we think that in the case of the Pakistanis they should all be sent home and told to toe the line in future. 

Finally an amusing little tale - 

There's a comedy/historical skit that keeps playing on Fox News and we thought you might be interested - 

A young lady is interviewing the owner of an authentic ex-speakeasy in New York City. Prohibition lasted in America from 1920-1933. 13 years!  The owner explains to her how a medical prescription was one of only 2 legal ways to get alcohol and he recounts the story of a lady who got a bottle of bourbon for pregnancy!!

The young lady interviewer responds with a classic New York accent saying - "a nice big healthy gallon o' gin"!! Of course large doses of alcohol were sometimes used to try and induce abortions. Horrible things that in their ignorance people did to each other.

China finally showing its true colours

Hi to all,

We were deeply disturbed to read the headline in the NZ tp Herald to the effect that China (the CCP) has warned NZ and the rest of the Five Eyes partnership of the UK, Canada, Australia and the USA that, in the light of NZ's and the other 5 Eyes partners' condemnation of China's trashing what remained of democracy in Hong Kong, the CCP would "poke the eyes" of NZ and its allies.

To the uninitiated, this may even sound laughable, but to anyone who knows China and its culture, this is a serious threat and is just a precursor of things to come as China becomes more emboldened if Sleepy Joe/Kamala Harris form the next US administration.

And God help Taiwan - the US will throw them to the wolves.

The future of NZ and the rest of the SW Pacific will be grim if the corrupt Biden regime steals the election and takes office. They will offer no help whatsoever and will absolutely cave to China.

NZ had better prepare for a very rough future.

DO NOT BET AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP. The amount of deliberate electoral fraud is growing by the day and, as we suggested in our last email, a listen on Newsmax to Sydney Powell, Trump's lawyer investigating this fraud would be educational. She was a Federal Prosecutor for 12 years and is Marine General Michael Flynn's lawyer involved in defending him from totally malicious prosecution by the FBI as part of the crooked left's continual harassment of the Trump administration ever since Trump took office. She has been criticised roundly by the "fake news" media for not revealing her evidence of electoral fraud. Well, you would have to be dreaming to think that she would do this ahead of various court hearings.  

And now the so-called "Biden Administration Team" has the absolute gall and effrontery to accuse the President of refusing to co-operate on "transition", when almost 4 years ago they pretended to co-operate on transition just for show, but in fact they never stopped harassing and doing their damndest to bring President Trump down during the entirety of the first term of his presidency. This included the Mueller "Russia" investigation which cost taxpayers 40 million USD and Congress's fraudulent impeachment (which of course they lost), when all the crooked Dems could do was salivate over what they thought in their criminal ignorance was the President's inevitable impeachment and removal from elected office. All of this was aided and abetted by big tech - Google, FB, Twitter et al with their blatant censorship of individual communications which were and are supportive of the President. This censorship is incredibly still very much ongoing.

At the same time as all that was going on, President Trump was dealing with the beginning of the Chinese Virus spread, and closing the border to Communist China before the CCP could do more wilful damage. In the process he saved tens of thousands of lives. The Democrats of course falsely accused him of racism and discrimination as a result of his prescient action.

The World Chinese Virus figures continue to grow. Bear in mind that these figures are a guide only and there are all sorts of frauds and straight out mis-reporting and resulting inaccuracies. Once again there are a number of motivations for this, not least of which is to frighten populations generally by increasing restrictions on normal liberties. Not to say that the figures are not increasing, but it is all part of the Chinese/socialist/globalist lust for power at any cost, and to cow people into unreasoning and unquestioning obedience. If they succeed in their ultimate aim, which is to prevent President Trump's re-election, they will have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams and it will no longer be appropriate for the Free World to bear that honourable name.

However, there is some cause for optimism looking forward. Deaths are down, recoveries are up and active cases are down as percentages of total cases. But total cases themselves are up which of course increases the number of active cases by almost 10 million over 14 weeks.

Deaths - 259,946 - 2.1% (170,781 - 3.2%) - up 89,165 or 52.2%

Recoveries - 7,291,717 - 59.6% (2,844,535 - 52.4%) - up 4,447,182 or 156.3%

Therefore active cases - 4,687,213 - 38.3% (2,413,829 - 44.6%) - up 2,273,384 or 94.2%. Of the total population of 331,753,930 (331,236,184), the percentage of active cases is 1.41% (0.729%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 14,129 (9,043) 

The figures do not look good, to put it mildly. But once again it must be borne in mind that there will be at least as much fraudulent mis-reporting as there has been in the US presidential election. As percentages of total cases, deaths are down, recoveries are up and active cases are down. By all accounts there are at least 2 US companies with claimed highly effective vaccines which could be available from late this year. However, we are very wary of such developments, particularly as the progress has been unusually rapid, which could suggest short-cuts have been taken. We have also heard reports that these vaccines will probably contain animal DNA, the purpose of which is to mimic the fact that pigs for example do not catch the C Virus. And another ingredient designed to check that the population in general has been vaccinated - or not - at airports for example when you pass through a scanner. Do you want animal DNA permanently in your system, or to be the subject of compulsorily enforced checks which undermine basic freedoms? Not that freedoms matter much to the left. As long as none of this affects them!   

We won't be saying too much about the recent fraudulent election, except that with all the revelations to date, it appears that this could be a very drawn-out affair, as it deserves to be, given that, as seems likely, the final legal cases will expose the greatest crime against the American people in 240 years. The main focus now is against the "Dominion" computer vote recording machines, which were originally purposefully designed to be easily hacked and altered to allow fraudulent results with built-in "back door" access to allow fraudulent data to be inserted at will. They were also "adjustable" so that the sensitivity of signature comparisons could be "turned down" probably below a sensitivity of 40%, when it should be 100% - similarly with compatibility of addresses, and actual voting dates after the polls had closed as well as same birth dates all with the same 1900 date for multiple "voters". Hence thousands of ballots have been fraudulently "cast" and then counted, even after having been received after deadlines. In addition many ballots were not even signed!! And when Trump votes appeared to be gaining ground against Biden, there is the ability for the results to be "flipped" by means of a special "back door" in the system to allow this very fraudulent act against democracy. This "flipping" has already been proved in one Pennsylvania county and it only needs more time to collate many others.  

But all this has to be legally proved by winning court cases all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary, with corresponding audits of state voting systems and methods. Constitutional dates will have to be extended to accommodate these investigations for which there has been absolutely NO precedent in all of the United States' previous 240 years. Maybe none of this will be necessary, as long as individual "close" state results can be finally verified or overturned within current constitutional time limits. But if not, then the whole nine yards of audited hand counts of ballots will need to be undertaken. 

In some counties in some states more votes were cast than there are registered voters!! What does that tell you?

The only way in which these frauds can be totally discovered is for the ballots in ALL states to be audited and hand counted under proper supervision.

In so many tight states there have been stories about vote counting being halted late at night and then, when the observers had departed, truckloads of false Biden ballots suddenly and mysteriously turning up at counting stations in the early hours.They would then use these "ballots" in sufficient numbers to overcome any Trump lead that might have developed.

It now appears that a number of these fraudulent votes have been shredded - that is destruction of evidence - another serious crime. 

And of course also many instances of physical altercation and straight-out physical isolation, thereby preventing official observers from doing their job.

This all chillingly explains why "Sleepy Joe" mainly stayed in his basement when the President was out drawing huge crowds. He and his crooked electoral machine knew that "the fix was in". He even stated in an interview that he had the best crooked electoral machine available!! One of his many slips of the tongue!!

One little anecdotal story - a large legal firm has just decided to seek leave to cease representing the Secretary of State for Pennsylvania - no doubt because they recognise that there was no defence against the allegations of fraud being brought by the Trump campaign.

We feel that once all this has finally been legally aired - and appealed if necessary all the way to the Supreme Court because of crooked judges in Democrat leaning state jurisdictions -  that there will be multiple orders for PROPERLY supervised hand recounts in a number of states - including Georgia again -  and/or completely new elections. The leftist propaganda machine is now in full swing (just read the NZ "toilet paper" Herald if you don't believe us) and are doing their usual damndest to discredit Trump and his team. They must be worried because they certainly thought that their crooked tactics would work, but now that the legal movement against them has grown so much in the last two and a half weeks, they would have to be seriously worried. Not least because a number of people will be facing very serious charges of sedition and long jail terms. Hence their obvious and determined attempts to fool public opinion and stop justice in its tracks. Even Fox News is nowhere near immune from these subtle, and not so subtle attempts to bulldoze public opinion. But with almost 80 million voters cast votes for Trump, there is widespread anger (growing daily) as more and more realise the duplicity of the Dems. 

There was a peaceful pro-Trump rally in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday and, as expected attracted violent protest from the far left - BLM and the like. It's only a matter of time before someone, or a few more, are shot and the seeds of Civil War will be sown. Americans are very fair minded and nothing annoys them more than obvious attempts to subvert their greatest national treasure - open and fair minded democracy. Gun sales soared before the election, so the threshold for potential lethal violence is close indeed. If there is ultimately, on the face of it, a successful attempt to stop the President's justifiable legal claims, then in our opinion violence like the US hasn't seen since 1861 will ensue. Do not underestimate this - it's happened before with the loss of, in today's population terms, 8 million combatants. No-one wants to see anything like this ever again, but the Democrats started the 1860's Civil War and, if anything similar started again, it would be the Dems again purely because they are attempting to subvert democracy by any foul means at their disposal.    

In the 1860's the Republican Party (the Yankees) rose to the occasion, freed the slaves and ultimately prevailed by force over the racist slave-owning southern states (Democrats). The Republicans need to rise up again in 100% support of President Trump. Unfortunately there are some who are "never Trumpers" who are prepared to betray their own party and by extension their country and all that its citizens hold dear. These disgraceful people should be forthwith expelled from the Republican party.      

Just in the last few days we read a horrible news story, but unfortunately a highly believable one. The Democrats are starting to "allow" the Hunter/Joe Biden foreign corruption story to gain traction on the so-called "mainstream" media with the intention of fatally damaging "Sleepy Joe" and ultimately forcing his resignation. The motive is to allow Kamala Harris to step into the presidency - always assuming that President Trump finally loses the election, which is unlikely. This has always been the Democrats' endgame - to present Joe as electible, because Kamala clearly was not, as she actually was the first to drop out of the Democrat primary presidential race because she was seen as far too far to the left. When she was senator for California she was considered the furthest left senator in the Senate and now there is a distinct possibility that she could become president by the most extreme back door and undemocratic method you can imagine.

Then, if they control the Senate, or if it's a tie-breaker with Harris's vote, they can create 2 new Democrat "states" of Washington DC and Puerto Rico with 2 new Democrat Senators each (thus gaining control of the Senate), end the Electoral College and stack the Supreme Court with left leaning justices. They will then trash the Constitution and the US will be well on the way to being a Chinese socialist/communist puppet.

Trump and his team have been increasingly portrayed as "unpresidential" and subverting the democratic process, whereas all Trump is doing is his duty, which is to protect the US Constitution from attack - whether from internal or external sources. In fact it is the seditious Dems and their disgusting acolytes who are determined to bring down the US Constitution.

Then God help what's left of the Free World, including NZ and Australia. PRAY FOR A FURTHER 4 YEARS FOR PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP.

Active cases have increased again a little over the past week, but all other percentages relating to total cases have improved dramatically. Let's hope that Colombia can continue this trend in spite of discouraging world figures.

We included the last headline, although it strictly doesn't belong to the week being covered. We urge you to read at least some of them because it will enable a better understanding of Colombian politics, albeit that in everyday life so far, we see and hear very little of this, especially in Medellin. However, we think all this best illustrates our fairmindedness and centrist political views because we abhor crooked attempts to seize power. It doesn't matter who it is; the socialist Democrats in the US, or the current corrupt right wing government in Colombia. The problem with the latter is that when their term ends in approximately 2 years, who will fill the vacuum? The last thing we want is an extreme left wing regime which would try and trash normal democratic freedoms and probably turn Colombia into another Venezuela.

On a personal note, we have identified that our car (2007 B Class Mercedes B200 turbo - only done 76,000 kms) has a problem with its starter motor, which we have discovered is a recognised issue affecting these models. Probably Chinese - there's our prejudice showing!! Unfortunately, to remove the starter motor it is necessary to also "lift" the engine, or remove it entirely to allow access to the starter, which just needs to be removed and given to an auto electrician for re-building. Apparently Mercedes used starter motors of poor quality in those years on the B's. One positive note is that labour rates here are 50% or less of rates in NZ. So, the cost won't be ruinous, although very disappointing on a Mercedes which Jim has always held in high esteem, having owned 6 previous Mercedes in NZ. His attitude towards Mercedes is at the moment a little tarnished!! But once this problem is fixed, it should become a reliable vehicle - certainly it was a great pioneering design in 2005. This car cost us 34 million Pesos, whereas a new one is 120 million!! Used cars in Colombia hold their value to a far greater extent than they do in NZ. At its low mileage it may well be the last car we own. We're only doing less than 5,000 kms per annum at the moment, although hopefully when things settle down we will do some extended road trips. 

Otherwise life continues much as before. The weather, having been very rainy lately  - and cold, may at last be improving, although the sun is still heading south and won't start coming back north until just after Christmas. But this morning (Saturday) dawned bright and clear and so we utilised one of our bookings for swimming in the pool. Swimming is subject to bookings (which we suggested 9 months ago!) because of the Chinese Virus - notwithstanding that outdoor swimming in the bright sunlight at 5,000 feet is far safer than close quarters inside.The air temperature at 9 am. was 23C with the heated water at 29C, so very pleasant. Jim does 24 lengths walking in chest deep water and another 24 swimming. The pool is around 9.5 metres in length - about the same as the one at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. Actually also same latitude, but the RLYC was at sea level with much higher temperatures, plus humidity. Great that the pool is finally open again after being closed for months due to the C Virus - which is arrant nonsense because sunlight and associated vitamin D is a recognised deterrent to the C Virus. However, we have been religiously taking a vitamin D supplement over recent months and after an internalist doctor reviewed Jean's blood test results a couple of days ago, he said her D levels were too high which can cause liver damage!! Jim is finally going to get a blood test to test a number of things including blood sugar, so hopefully we can get that better under control again. Strange how medical doctrines change - the doctor's name is Rafael Penaranda Solana and he speaks passable English - certainly much better than our Spanish! He said that our earlier belief that a reading of 153 mg/dl (8.5 mmol/L) was acceptable was no longer so. Apparently a reading of 126 mg/dl is more like the maximum. Jim's latest fasting reading was 209 mg/dl so we need to address the issue. "High" doesn't start until 259 mg/dl. But with all our changing living states and other things happening, it has been somewhat neglected so now there is something to be done, which is an increase in medication which yours truly is not happy about and especially a more diligent approach to exercise.

With our friend, Clara's, help yesterday we bought a new computer on-line for Jean with a 31% discount as happens here from time to time.

Deaths - 907 - 3.3% (370 - 1.7%) - up 537 or 145.1%

Recoveries - 25,509 - 91.8% (13,634 - 59.2%) - up 11,875 or 87.1%

Therefore active cases - 1,374 - 4.9% (9,022 - 39.2%) - down 7,648 or 84.8%. Of the total population of 25,613,715 (25,536,804), the percentage of active cases is 0.005% (0.04%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of population - 54 (56).

Active cases are well down as a percentage of total cases so heading in the right direction.

NUEVA ZELANDA - New Zealand

Total cases - 2,013 (1,714) - up 299  or 17.4%

Deaths - 25 - 1.2% (22 - 1.4%) - up 3 or 13.6%

Recoveries - 1,948 - 96.8% (1,531 - 95.6%) - up 417 or 27.2%

Therefore active cases - 40 - 2.0% (49 - 3.0%) - down 9 or 18.4%. Of the total population of 5,002,100 (5,002,100), the percentage of active cases is 0.0008% (0.001%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of population - 8 (14).

Again what can we say. NZ needs to open up and take some risks in this C Virus world, which isn't going away. Albeit with appropriate safeguards but without the fortress mentality which is commercially so ruinously destructive. And pray for a Trump win to protect against the Chinese aggressive jugernaut. 

Finally,and as an afterthought - we were disgusted to read in the NZ "toilet paper" Herald two character assassination articles. One about President Trump and the other about his lawyer, Rudi Giuliani, who is Trump's personal lawyer of many years and a former highly respected Mayor of New York City. The Herald is a disgrace to what little remains of journalism.

The Trump article referred to a Trump campaign lawsuit which had been thrown out by a corrupt Obama appointed judge in Pennsylvania. In fact the Trump campaign welcomed and anticipated the case being dumped because it shortened the time frame in which they can now appeal - first to a Pennsylvania Appellate Court and then if that fails, to the Supreme Court. Probably the first of many due primarily to the corruption of various states' legal systems.

The Herald wouldn't know the meaning of truthful journalism; the rag just regurgitates articles from their owners or affiliates - the likes of the NY Times and the Washington Post, both of which are repeatedly and aggressively publishing lies about Trump and his campaign. This is the standard of "news" now fed to the NZ people.

We have today seen these Fox News clips which we think give a much deeper understanding of the scale of the Democrat corruption in the recent US Presidential election.

The scale of criminal offending in multiple states is such that we are starting to agree with some opinions that the only way to deal with it would be for some competent authority - the Supreme Court for instance? - to annul the election and order a new one, but only after all the illegal state laws and corrupt practices were finally removed from the electoral landscape. In many states more ballots have been received for counting than there are registered voters!

2) Maria Bartiromo interviewing Sydney Powell on Nov. 15th. She was/is Marine General Michael Flynn's lawyer defending Flynn against the vicious prosecution by the FBI. An explosive interview during which she refers to the volume of electoral crookedness coming through as akin to the volume of a fire hose.

3) Mark Levin on Nov. 15th. with an opening monologue which is excellent, followed by an interview of Kayliegh McEnany who is the White House Press Secretary and a graduate of the Harvard Law School. A very impressive young woman.

4) A final interview on Sky News Australia by Paul Murray also on the electoral fraud on Nov. 16th.

After watching these interviews, you would certainly be forgiven for thinking that the only way to address this disgusting situation would be for the election to be cancelled and a new one ordered with appropriate safeguards.

Despite the NZ "toilet paper" Herald's untruthful rantings, we feel more and more confident that Donald Trump is heading for another 4 years. The only uncertainty is when the Inauguration would be because unravelling the mess will be very time consuming. Possibly in the circumstances the SC will need to extend the Inauguration date.

Chinese Virus and other news (Biden is NOT the President-Elect) as at Nov. 13th. 2020 - 91 days or 13 weeks since Aug. 21st.

We hope again that everyone is in the pink. Apart from Chinese Virus stats, there is momentous news continuing to come out of the US with the entirely justified legal examination of a number of states' electoral results.

Note that Chinese Virus figures in brackets refer to comparative figures from August 21st. - 13 weeks ago. Except for active cases per million of population where the comparative figures date from 30/10/20.

MUNDO - World - note that the total world population is now estimated at 7,825,168,915 - weekly net increase of 1,557,692

Total cases - 53,441,082 (21,168,111) - up 32,272,971 or 152.5%

Deaths - 1,304,566 - 2.4% (759,328 - 3.6%) - up 545,238 or 71.8%

Recoveries - 37,388,719 - 70.0%  (13,984,843 - 66.1%) - up 23,403,876 or 167.4%

Therefore active cases - 14,747,797 - 27.6% (6,425,939 - 30.3%) - up 8,321,858 or 129.5%. Of the total population of 7,825,168,915 (7,804,380,455), the percentage of active cases is 0.19% (0.082%) of the total world population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 1,885 (1,437)

The virus is still with us and increasing since we began recording these statistics 13 weeks ago. Despite doubtless false reporting for all sorts of reasons, the overall trend is disquieting - yet again. Active cases as a percentage of the population, and active cases per 1 million of population are all up. 

 

ESTADOS UNIDOS - United States

Total cases - 10,900,707 (5,429,115) - up 5,471,592 or 100.8%

Deaths - 248,778 - 2.3% (170,781 - 3.2%) - up 77,997 or 45.7%

Recoveries - 6,732,834 - 61.7% (2,844,535 - 52.4%) - up 3,888,299 or 136.7%

Therefore active cases - 3,919,095 - 36.0% (2,413,829 - 44.6%) - up 1,505,266 or 62.4%. Of the total population of 331,716,877 (331,236,184), the percentage of active cases is 1.18% (0.729%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 11,815 (9,043)

Apart from the continued misreporting which we've commented on before, the new figures are again disquieting, except that active cases as a percentage of total cases is down from 44.6% to 36.0%.  Much of the reason is no doubt the very different approaches taken by various State governments over which the Federal government has almost no control. An example is in Michigan or Wisconsin - forget which - where the Governor has mandated mask wearing for inside gatherings of over 25 people. 24 or less don't need masks!! Utterly ridiculous. What planet do these people inhabit? Why would (say) 18 people not need masks, whereas 25 do?  We support masks inside as an effective way of curbing the virus spread, and indeed the "science" is more and more agreeing with that. If that simple requirement was met for any number of people meeting inside, or in shops/malls, then we are sure that the spread would be very much curbed. Except of course for small gatherings of people who know each other.

It has been appalling over the past week to constantly hear that Biden has been anointed President - elect by the "fake news" media, including the NZ "toilet paper" Herald. This is a moniker given by Sean Hannity of Fox News to the NY "toilet paper" Times, so the Herald is in good company!! The NYT even denied the Holocaust for some time after WW2, so all par for the course.

Even the UK Government refers to Biden as President-Elect and offers their congratulations. There are going to be an awful lot of people who are going to look like the absolute premature fools that they are in the likely event that the Trump campaign succeeds in its various legal challenges. Maybe this perception on our part will change, but it will only be after the Electoral College, which is the only body capable of electing a US President, has rendered its verdict.  

Suffice it to say that there are multiple legal challenges emerging in all the close states that one would have expected the Trump campaign to win in any case. These include:

* Arizona (11 EC votes) where Biden has a provisional lead of 0.3% - 10,988 votes. There are still 60,000 votes to count and it is expected that Trump will take the state. A recount may also be called if the Trump campaign is successful in proving that there were voting irregularities sufficient to trigger a recount where all individual ballots are examined for issues. It is also alleged that voting machines were improperly "instructed" to reject a substantial number of votes. A hand count has been requested by precinct - there are 748 precincts.

* Georgia (16 EC votes) where Biden has a provisional lead of 0.3% - 14,166 votes. A full hand recount has been ordered which is mandatory under state law when the provisional result is so close. There are still not enough observers to monitor the recount - only one monitor per 10 tables. So how is that going to work?

However, the Trump campaign has also filed a lawsuit alleging that late arriving ballots were improperly commingled with valid ballots and asked a judge to order that late arriving ballots be separated and not counted, but the case was dismissed. The case could still be taken further - possibly to the Supreme Court. There have also been late arriving ballots with either no signature or exactly the same signatures as many others! Up to 60%. Dead people voting here as well.

* Wisconsin (10 EC votes) could see a full recount if the Trump campaign requests it. Biden currently has a provisional lead of 20540 votes - 0.3%. Likely fraud could easily see Trump take the state.

* Pennsylvania (20 EC votes) where Biden has a provisional lead of 0.9% - 63,421 votes. The Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit alleging that the state's mail-in voting system "lacked all the hallmarks of transparency and verifiability that were present for in-person voters". The campaign has also been successful in barring mail-in votes that had missing information after Nov. 9th. In addition there are hundreds of affidavits from individuals alleging voter fraud mainly in preventing observation of the counting process. At least 21,000 deceased persons voted - probably many more and certainly in other states as well. These would be identified by hand recounts but not sure what can happen regarding this widespread fraud in other states. One such ballot had a birthdate sometime in 1900!!!!! In addition to all that, between 650,000 and 900,000 illegal votes have been counted in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia without observation being allowed as required by state law. Would-be observers were deliberately obstructed. When all of this fraud is finally tabulated and legally settled it is highly likely that Trump will take the state. 

* Michigan (16 EC votes) where Biden has a provisional lead of 146,123 votes or 2.7%. There will not be a recount, but there are multiple legal challenges. These include questions surrounding vote counting machines provided by Dominion Voting Systems Inc. In one county 6,000 votes were incorrectly awarded to Biden instead of Trump. Dominion machines are widely used in Michigan as well as in 28 other states.  Also multiple examples of ballots with identical signatures - the list goes on. These Dominion voting verification machines were rejected for use by the state of Texas because they were considered to be unreliable and far too easy to fraudulently alter, so that signatures, ages, and other irregularities could be simply accepted as valid votes and counted for the crooked Dems. This issue promises to have a massive effect on voting results if the related fraud proves to be as widespread as it seems it could be.

A chief monitor who has been checking on elections for 20 years said that this was the worst by far that he has experienced. Detroit has proved to be the worst and could trigger a recount there.

* Nevada (6 EC votes) - multiple examples of voter and observer harassment and voters being "coached" to vote for Biden. Provisional results are a 2.7% lead for Biden (35,453 votes). May not be possible to switch but with all the other widespread frauds, including a flawed signature verification system which has been rejected by a partisan judge so far, who knows what might ultimately happen? An appeal by the Trump campaign to higher courts is always a possibility with the stakes so high. Senator Lyndsey Graham of S Carolina and who is also a lawyer, including during stints in the Air Force on overseas deployment, said that the signature checking component of the counting machines was deliberately turned off and unable to approve or disprove anything relating to signatures. 

It must also be borne in mind that apart from the specific frauds recounted above, it is likely that continued examination of voting records will uncover further fraud. It is difficult in all of this to escape the conclusion that President Trump will win sufficient EC votes to be president until 2024. These states above  represent 69 EC votes plus Alaska not in contention with 3 EC votes which would lift Trump to well over the magic 270 which would mean he would win the presidency easily. WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!!!!!!! There has been so much fraud and dirty tricks that it's just unbelievable. The hope has to be that Trump's team can stay with it and if necessary take the legal fights higher in order to achieve justice.

At the time of writing President Trump has 232 EC votes. If he won the states of Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania, he would then have 279 EC votes - more than enough to win another 4 years. On top of that there are Nevada (6), and Wisconsin (10), which perhaps are less attainable but they are nevertheless further possibilities. So, all is most certainly not lost and in this unprecedented election with all the Democrats' fraud and cheating, anything can happen yet.

The Attorney-General, Bill Barr, has finally agreed to get involved and has instructed his legal staff to assist in ferreting out and prosecuting all these instances of fraud. That is good news in itself.

The active propaganda against President Trump is intensifying as the Dems sense that they could still lose and the NZ "toilet paper" Herald is a good example of that fake narrative. Not a day goes by without finding some outrageous lies being peddled as the truth. Just as during the campaign, big IT and the fake news so-called mainstream media are relentlessly pursuing their disgusting agenda. So reminiscent of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda chief in Nazi Germany. Deleting or "flagging" social media posts is no longer unusual. Jean had that experience on FB just the other day.

If Trump does not win, a Biden/Harris administration will do so much damage to America and the rest of the Free World, it doesn't bear thinking about.

Therefore active cases - 58,830 - 5.0% - (169,196 - 39.0%) - down 110,366 or 65.2%. Of the total population of 51,081,394 (50,948,628), the percentage of active cases is 0.115% (0.332%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 1,152 (1,367). 

A much better result as far as active cases go - a 21% reduction in fact in just 7 days???? We hope that it's true, but as always we entertain serious doubts about these "official" Colombian figures.

We recently bought a Paques board game. Paques is part of a family of games similar to Ludo. However, it is much more involved than Ludo and requires quite a degree of strategic thinking, apart from just pure luck at throwing the 2 dice. Jim remembers playing Ludo during school holidays when the weather was bad at Paroa Bay in the Bay of Islands!!  The origin of this family of games is in India in the 6th. century where it is known as Pachisi. It is not played in any Latin American country outside Colombia where it is played with passion! It is thought that the British and/or their indentured Indian labourers brought the game to the Caribbean and it spread and developed from there. The British version of the game is known as Ludo and the Royal Navy adopted it and called it Uckers. It is played under various names in a number of European countries and the USA as well.

We were introduced to Paques in a small town called Jerico when we visited there last year with Linda on our motoring tour of Santa Fe, Concordia, Jardin, and Jerico. Jean and Linda went on to the coffee triangle after that and Jim returned to Medellin. Since then we have played Paques a couple of times with our friends, Clara and Memo, who told us the rules are variable, depending on who is playing - and how the game is going! Each family has their own take on the basic rules!! We must develop our own too. That's where the passion and arguments come from.

We are playing Clara and Memo this Saturday night - you might be able to hear the arguments from Godszone!!

No more deaths, but active cases showing a small increase. Let's hope they've learnt a lesson from the economic and social damage in Melbourne in particular from the recent draconian lockdown. 

There has been as regards lockdowns, a consistent pattern of socialist governments everywhere favouring lockdowns and personal freedom restrictions, whereas conservative regimes allow societies to just get on with their lives, albeit with strong advice to wear masks inside for example.Go figure.

As usual not much to say, except that there has been a small spike in active cases - mostly border related but worryingly (for NZ!) a small number of community transmissions which also as usual have been exacerbated by incompetence in tracing and dealing with premises where they have occurred.

They are almost the only news source that we can trust now; even Fox News has disgracefully thrown in the towel and joined the hysterical clamour insisting that crooked Joe is the President - elect. A shocking betrayal of all that they purported to stand for.

How many times do we have to say it; the only votes that count are those of the Electoral College once all the states have finally been irrevocably declared, and once you have read the attached, you might understand how at least 75 votes are almost certainly going to swing to Trump once the Dems crooked shenanigans are brought to light.

Trump is fighting for his and all of our lives and freedoms - and we had better all recognise that, because the alternative is a descent into totalitarian hell. World War II was fought to stop this exact scenario. We do not want all those sacrificed lives to have been in vain.

Again hoping everyone is well and in the pink. More Chinese Virus and the most important political news for at least 4 years. Note the comparative figures in brackets refer to the situation 12 weeks ago. Except for active cases per 1 million population where the comparative figures date from 30/10/20.

MUNDO - World - note that the total world population is now estimated at 7,823,611,223 - weekly net increase is 1,557,692

Total cases 49,175,951 - (21,168,111) - up 28,007,840 or 132.31%

Deaths - 1,241,939 - 2.5% (759,328 - 3.6%) - up 482,611 or 63.6%

Recoveries - 35,074,424 - 71.3% (13,984,843 - 66.1%) - up 21,089,581 or 150.8%

Therefore active cases - 12,859,588 - 26.2% (6,425,939 - 30.3%) - up 6,433,649 or 100.1%.  Of the total population of 7,823,611,223 (7,804,380,455), the percentage of active cases is 0.164% (0.082%) of the total world population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 1,643 (1,437)

All the statistics are heading in the wrong direction, always providing that you can believe them. However, when looking at the World, there should be enough of a balance to be able to perceive some sort of average. Disquieting nonetheless.

ESTADOS UNIDOS - United States

Total cases 9,926,637 - (5,429,115) - up 4,497,522 or 82.8%

Deaths - 241,026 - 2.4% (170,781- 3.2%) - up 70,245 or 41.1%

Recoveries - 6,341,604 - 63.9% (2,844,535 - 52.4%) - up 3,497,069 or 122.9%

Therefore active cases - 3,344,007 - 33.7% (2,413,829 - 44.6%) - up 930,178 or 38.5%. Of the total population of 331,679,824 (331,236,184), the percentage of active cases is 1.01% (0.729%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 10,082 (9,043)

For reasons already expressed we do not have much confidence in these figures. Mainly because of misreporting and excessive testing. Some weeks ago we recounted the case of a Florida woman who for some reason was tested 15 times and all tests were recorded as "active". How many more times has that happened? Deaths as a percentage of total cases are down; recoveries are up and active cases are down, so that's all encouraging. But active cases per million are up by 10.3%. Overall not very encouraging.

We now have preliminary, albeit totally crooked and otherwise erroneous, results in from the presidential election. As predicted, the fraudulent examples already identified and predicted from the counting procedure are continuing to increase. 

In Nevada there are possibly 10,000 voters who were ineligible to vote because they do not live in the state.

So many cases of "dead" people voting - including the grandmother of a Nevada resident - who had died some time before the election. 

In many states Trump was handily leading the field, only to have his lead destroyed in increments at the last minute by ballots suddenly appearing in the early hours and most earmarked for Biden.

In Pennsylvania independent observers who were legally entitled to observe the counting process, were either blocked from the counting area totally, or were prevented from being any nearer than 10-20 feet from the counters. And this was in spite of a ruling from a Pennsylvania Court arising from an action brought by the GOP, so the organisers were not only breaking existing law - they were openly defying a court ruling telling them to desist. What are they hiding? One guess.

It now also appears that in Antrim County, Michigan - due to a software issue 6,000 votes were awarded to Democrats instead of the GOP. This is a net error of 12,000. 47 counties use the same software so this error could be multiplied 47 times! And what about other states? 

These late Biden ballots seem to be the problem as they are appearing out of thin air - even after counting had been suspended for several hours, and then lo and behold, these ballots come from nowhere. Probably the organisers were just holding things up to see how many Biden ballots they needed to win, but at the same time make it "look good".

There is so much fraud already, that we would think that there are grounds for at least cancelling the whole election in Nevada (6 Electoral College votes), Wisconsin (10), Michigan (16), Pennsylvania (20), Georgia (16), North Carolina (15), and Arizona (11). This represents a total of 94 EC votes. So far in Wisconsin and Georgia recounts have been ordered, but to be effective, EVERY ballot needs to be scrutinised for validity - signatures and meeting the voting deadlines, etc. -  especially with the unprecedented number of mail-in ballots. It would seem that there has been so much fraud and "irregularity" that there could be a case to declare the entire election null and void and order a completely new one in the near future - but only after the necessary steps had been taken to secure the validity of any new election.

This all depends on the Supreme Court and this is the great unknown. Due to the length of time that this would all take, the Inauguration date of January 20th. would need to be "cancelled" and whether this is constitutionally possible is definitely a moot point. We doubt whether even the US Supreme Court could answer that question at this stage. January 20th. is constitutionally protected, but in view of the unprecedented criminal circumstances of this election, maybe the SC could take precedence from that and change the necessary rules - even temporarily.

The American people, and indeed the people of the Free World, are entitled to see an outcome that they can trust. There is absolutely no trust right now and this trust will be eroded even more as more disgracefully fraudulent situations are exposed.  

All of the so-called mainstream media, which has been attacking Trump ever since he was first inaugurated, are weighing in with as many false and denigrating stories as they can find - even attacking such people as Hayley McEnany (the White House Press Secretary) and Sarah Huckabee-Sanders (the previous Press Secretary and daughter of former Arkansas Governor and GOP presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee). It is absolutely disgusting and Youtube would be one of the main perpetrators - not surprising since they are owned by Google. Another example we became aware of today - Trump giving Ivanka a peck on the cheek and it was suggested that they had an incestuous relationship. How low can you go? The hate that's around is increasing it seems day by day, and it ALL comes from the screaming lunatic left. But of course Trump will get the blame.     

In the meantime Trump will NOT concede and there will be increasing violence on the streets. All down to the criminal Democrats who have a belief in their divine right to rule, and they will achieve it by hook or by crook. All Trump and the GOP want is a free and fair election; not one so obviously rigged to favour the left. 

Our information now is that the legal team for the Trump campaign and the GOP has gone to ground in order to collect as much evidence of malfeasance as possible so that they can mount multiple legal actions across multiple strategic states. Then, as expected when these actions are thrown out by partisan Democrat judges, the way would be clear to go to the partisan state Appeals Courts where it is likely that the suits would be thrown out again - then after appealing for leave - to the United States Supreme Court. The scale and complexity and sheer time-frame needed to fully examine all the detail would probably lead to either an order for cancellation of the election in the states involved, or a total election cancellation. Actions without precedent have been taken before by the Supreme Court, probably because, as in this case, crooked management of election results on this scale has never been experienced before, so there is no precedent.

The more that comes to light, it seems the worse it gets. 

How can the USA who put men on the Moon, get such a simple thing as an election so wrong? Drastic action to get to the bottom of this gigantic mess needs urgently to be taken, however long it takes.  

We can only wait and see, but it is inconceivable that with the GOP holding the Senate and gaining many more seats in Congress, that Trump could statistically lose. We saw his raw energy and the sheer exuberance of his rallies - as much as 5 in a day - compared with Biden hiding in his basement, or at best addressing largely empty parking lots. It makes no sense whatsoever, so we can only hope that justice finally prevails. If this cannot happen in the greatest democracy in the world, then we are all heading down a very dark path.

Deaths - 32,209 - 2.9% (14,145 - 3.3%) - up 18,604 or 127.7%

Recoveries - 1,011,166 - 90.5% (250,494 - 57.7%) - up 760,672 or 303.7%

Therefore active cases - 74,602 - 6.7% (169,196 - 39.0%) - down 94,594 or 55.9%. Of the total population of 51,071,028 (50,948,628), the percentage of active cases is 0.15% (0.332%) of the total population.

Total active cases per 1 million of total population - 1,461 (1,367).

Disappointing to see active cases continuing to rise (up by 17,130 or 29.8% in just 4 weeks). The management of this country, with the possible exception of cities, particularly like Medellin, is so inept and corrupt, it is scarcely believable - like these figures.

And now with the uncertainty surrounding the US election, the idea of manufacturing coming to Colombia from China may just turn out to be a pipe dream, especially if Biden prevails.

Life here continues much the same - we are getting our 4 year old lounge suite re-upholstered due to unbelievably poor foam used originally. Another black mark for FAR!! And new cushions on our outdoor chairs so we won't know ourselves. The starting issue for the car cannot at this stage be traced, so we'll just have to wait for it to do it again! These things are very frustrating, especially in modern cars with all their electronic gizmos. We're thinking of going to the States and buying a vintage Model A  Ford. 2 seater with a rumble seat out in the weather. Ideal for los nietos! These cars are indestructible and increasing in value - not depreciating like everything else.

As this is being written, we are being serenaded by a male vocalist and guitar from the street. This is a fairly common occurrence, except that this morning the music is electrifying - absolutely wonderful - makes us want to dance in the street. Our health remains reasonable.Jim underwent a treatment for parasites and things have improved!! Apparently they are common wherever there is very little seasonal change month to month.But we lived in Thailand and Malaysia too and don't recall any problems there. Early start in the morning as Jean has an appointment at 0730 for a blood test.

What's to say? NZ continues to live in its isolated S Pacific bubble at the bottom of the world. The socialist government needs to grapple with a severe debt crisis. And if, God forbid, there is an eventual Biden presidency, there will be no support against China from the US as Biden is hopelessly corrupted to the tune of 1.5 billion USD to China. Better pray that Trump remains president, which could easily happen given the Democrat corruption in rigging the recent Federal election - details of which continue to emerge.

Figures continue to look good, but again it will be a matter of learning to live with this damned Chinese Virus for the foreseeable future.
